Ground conditions after all the rain

What are you finding the Camp ground conditions are like with all this wet weather?

Is it worth setting out at all at the moment?

Hate to spend a fortnight somewhere up to the axles!!!

We set up roll-out awning to carport position and attach privacy screens on side/s of rain direction - it quite pleasant sitting in our "verandah" - and cooler.

Although we usually free-camp, we set up on grassy area if there is potential of rain - never on dirt that could turn to mud.

I meant that since theres been huge amounts of rain all over, there might be lots
of problems on camps especially blacksoil and soggy ground under the grass
and so-on.

Wait and see what others have experienced.

My brother went to a camping ground, south coast of NSW over Christmas. He drove a long way to get there.

When he arrived he found his site covered in water and inaccessible. When he spoke to manager his comment was, I could put some planks down for you to reverse onto and stop you sinking.

Apparently the site had been like this for some time. Its all about the mighty dollar, dont dare inform customer on the off chance he refuses to take up his booking and revenue lost.
