Selling caravan

Good morning, we have a 2015 Jayco Expander Hardtop in prime condition. Upgraded Off road suspension,  leather club lounge, 2 bunks, bed ends caravan queen, caravan double, washing machine, fridge freezer, oven, hanging wardrobe, sat dish. Free to air tv.  Has anyone sold a Jayco similar recently as we are wondering what price they are going for. we are in WA.
we have considered consignment but the fees are extreme.
cheers Cecilia and Greg

Stay away from consignment - if the yard goes belly up the receivers will claim van - happening a lot now days.

They are currently being advertised from between $30K negotiable to $45K negotiable. Note that is initial asking prices not necessarily sell price.

Thank you Possum 3 for your advice on the consignment deal. Never thought of that.

I sold my van on consignment at the Retreat Dealer I brought it from 7 years earlier.

It sold after about 2 + 1/2 months as the market was cooling off.

They handled all the paperwork and gave it a service and wash etc at handover, money was in my bank that night.

They took $6k for their trouble, which I thought was okay. They are an established Dealer.

Cheers Bob

Are you looking at selling privately if not on consignment? We sold our motorhome last year by consignment. Firstly we had a business come around and inspected it and made an offer which we declined. The following week we took it to a local business that sells new and consignment vans and motorhomes and the agreed selling price was $30,000 above the figure offered by the first company. It sold for the higher price. Even with the consignment fee taken out we were in front. There can be pitfalls with all business deals. Maybe take it/or they come to you and get an outright sale price, get a consignment price and compare. Look at ads on the net for vans similar to yours and see what the pricing is. Just some thoughts. Good luck with your sale.
