Noisy washing machine

Hi everyone, we have a Sphere 3.3k top load washer in our van.

It is so noisy when spinning out, I have to close vents and doors

to try to muffle the noise.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Much appreciated Lee

Is it the motor that is noisy or an unbalanced load causing the machine to vibrate against its housing?

Noisy motor, you may have to replace machine - unbalanced load vibrating, pre-sort whilst loading.

The machine is a couple of years old. To me it is every spin cycle and not an uneven load. I have tried to make the load even.

Lee, is there some way you could screw machine down to floor to stop vibration?

I just checked, and it is solid as....screwed down. I think it appears to be movement in the drum. Darn.

I don't know what sort of system top loaders have to absorb vibration, but I know our front loader at home has 3 struts that allow movement of the drum. The struts have grease on them but after a few years they can get a bit dry which results in the machine vibrating. I tipped the washing machine on it's side, removed the base cover (about 20 screws) and wiped the struts clean then applied new grease.

Check the springs on the floating drum. One may be loose.
