Aluminium, Zinc or Magnesium rods best for my HWS?

Forgetting cost, which rod will give the best long term protection to my HWS?

Do they make a of each rod?

Best protection and long term are conflicting requirements.
The best protection means the anode is eaten away quicker than the tank and the quicker it is eaten away the better job it is doing.
Magnesium.
Cheers,
Peter

Get a stainless steel tank & it's a non issue, 12 years warranty.

We still have an oldl Dux instantaneous hot water systems in the common laundry. Would be 70 years old. The tiny tank for the elements is copper.

We will be replacing it soon as the supporting case has rusted away.

The OKA has a copper Surejust calorifier heated by a Webasto hydronic diesel heater or waste engine heat (we have hot water after any 30 minute drive) or 240V from the inverter/solar.
