Hi gang.

My 1984 Viscount van is currently registered in NSW but Im thinking about moving to/storing it in Qld.

Can anyone tell me if I need to obtain a roadworthy in Qld to initially register it in Qld.

Further, do I need a roadworthy each annual renewal, as in NSW

You will need a roadworthy and a gas certificate done to register it in Qld, but once registered you don't need an inspection to renew the rego.

Thats what I was hoping.
To your knowledge, is a nsw gas inspection good for qld or so I need to get one up there.

You will need to get one done in qld, I would think, but check with qld transport.

Qld does not accept a gas certificate from any where else and I found I had to make a "change" from WA compliance. The gas guy reckoned the fold down cover over gas burners  needed to be fixed down. Tape complied. Beats me totally.

 Try changing states if youre a tradie (or school teacher, dont know about other professions), you have to jump through a lot of hoops just to be qualified. no
