He was something special. I remember his innings in South Africa when only a teenager and the cracking innings in England when he and Ashton Agar put on a heap for last wicket. Ashton made about 98 and Phil Hughes held it together with an 80 odd not out. The rest had all fallen cheaply but he dug in.
