VSR

Hi

Does anyone know if a Winnebago Birdsvile 2008 has a VSR and where is it ?

I can not find it and the house battery does not appear to be charging when the engine is running (it is not in the starter battery area)

Laurie

Might be just a larger DC switch rather than a VSR. It may be near the house battery. Look for a heavy cable between the 2.
Cheers,
Peter

Looks a lot like a redarc VSR from the pic you posted Laurie.

I bought one of those Redarc VSRs about 15 years ago. Mine only lasted a few years before it failed and no longer charged the second battery. As well as basic VSRs there are also a lot of "smart" multi-stage DC-DC chargers around these days. Some do not like heat so not always a good idea to locate them in the engine bay. I have my smart charger and second battery mounted under the rear seat.
