Diesel heater start up.

I have just installed a 5kw diesel heater. I followed instructions on YouTube to bleed said unit, I could hear the pump running during the process, did this twice. When I push the start up button on the control panel the fan starts but the pump does not, whereas it did during bleeding, also the control panel does not light up as shown on the YouTube video. Thoughts please.

You might have to give it a bit more time, how long are you letting it run for. mine dosn't start immediately.

When switched on, our unit takes 2 or 3 minutes to warm up the glow plug. The pump generally starts after a minute or two.

Then it is a gradual process as the pump speeds up, and the unit starts to fire up, and then it gets into swing, and it fires up fully. I will say our controller is quite dark, but does go brighter if I press the top arrow key.

We have a Chinese copy, purchased from the company Edisons in Australia. It has worked faultlessly for 3 years now.
