WDH Conversion from Chain type to Friction

Purchased parts were L-Pin, L-Bracket & Snap Up Lever. Could have done without the lever and made my own.

The remainder of parts were from Bunnings and were cut and drilled to suit.

Modification that was required due to width of Roundbars...

Extend L-Pin square holes.

Total cost of all the parts was under $300.00.

Tension of Friction is adjusted by angle of tow-ball to hitch. Trial and error to get the correct tension.

Raising/jacking the combined connected hitch alleviates the necessity of using the Snap Up Lever most times and an alternative simple lever could be used.

I tested this Friction WDH over several thousand kilometers and was pleased with the results.

Bear in mind it is metal on metal contact so there is some noise on turning, not as much as my previous friction sway controllers.
