The Fiat looses power when I try to accelerate. Can anyone give sugesstions as to what might be causing it?

I am led to believe that some local mechanics do not, or can not, diagnose and or repair Fiats, so it may be best to go to a Fiat specialist.
Triggy has given you some good advice, If you look at the Fiat forum, there are some very helpful people over there, (there are also some very helpful people on this forum).
When your Fiat problem is solved, it would be good if you can let everyone know what the solution to the problem was.
