GROK is your friend. This looks like a common automotive electrical connector, specifically a 6-pin (6-way) sealed or weatherproof plug, often used in vehicles for sensors, actuators, injectors, lighting, or wiring harness connections. From the photo: It has 6 cavities/pins in a rectangular (2 rows of 3) layout. The housing is dark gray/black (appears dirty/worn from exposure). Theres a prominent latch/locking tab on top for secure mating. The overall shape and design (compact, rugged plastic with visible cavities) is typical of sealed automotive connectors. This style closely matches several popular types in the automotive world: TE Connectivity (formerly AMP) MCP 2.8 series (or similar sealed housings) these are very common in European and many global vehicles for mid-power applications (e.g., up to ~40A in some configs), often black/gray housings with integrated locking. Molex MX150 or similar sealed 1.5mm/2.8mm terminal systems rectangular, latched, commonly used for engine bay or underbody sensors/wiring. Deutsch-style aftermarket or generic equivalents (like DT series lookalikes) though genuine Deutsch DT 6-pin is usually more squared-off with a separate wedge lock/grommet, many Chinese/generic waterproof 6-pin automotive plugs copy a similar rectangular form with latch and appear almost identical when dirty/worn. Its not a Deutsch DT (those typically have a more distinctive shape, often gray with colored wedges, and rubber seals visible), nor an OBD-II (which is 16-pin), nor a flat blade/fuse type. These connectors are generic enough that many manufacturers (Yazaki, Sumitomo, Bosch, etc.) produce very similar versions the exact OEM part depends on the vehicle make/model/year and what component its attached to (e.g., crankshaft sensor, fuel injector harness, etc.). If you can provide more context like the car make/model/year, what component/wire this is connected to, or any part numbers/stampings on the connector body I could narrow it down further to the exact series or replacement pigtail. For replacement, search for 6 pin automotive waterproof connector 2.8mm or 6 way sealed latch connector on sites like Amazon, eBay, or auto parts stores youll find kits with matching male/female halves, terminals, and seals.

It is connecting a Reversing camera on my Dmax. Formerly a government Dept. vehicle up in Kununurra , The Kimberly. I probably will fit a complete new plug as I am replacing the camera with a new one, and they come with a connector attached. Thanks for your reply.

Elliemike,

Is it a plug on your Dmax for the reversing/review camera that is on your van?
Quite few options available.
When I acquired my van second hand, it had one like this already fitted.
safetydave.com.au/product/woza-single-kit-5-pin/

Plenty of similar that might be cheaper around as well.
