Just fitted a gen3 to the van for a bit more away use..was going for the 100mg deal ..looked yesterday the mongrels upped the price lucky didn't reg system so may let it sit idle while I justify the rip off. Have vast and fox and booster on phone time to chill.
My understanding is that if you do not wish to pay the $15 a month Standby Charge ( Recently upped by $10 a month from $5) to maintain your Starlink Mini service until you next use your Van or Motorhome say in 4 months time, to minimise costs, you can de register your account for say 4 months and then fire it up when you next want to use your van/mh.
I think the Gen 3 Starlink could be similar.......... Comments appreciated.
From Google AI:
There is no fee to cancel your Starlink Mini subscription or to deregister/remove the hardware from your account. You will continue to have access to the internet until the end of your current paid billing cycle. [1, 2, 3, 4]
To fully cancel your subscription and deregister the Starlink Mini from your account, follow these steps:
1. Log into your account on the Starlink Customer Portal.
2. Go to the Account tab and select Subscriptions.
3. Choose your Starlink Mini service plan and click Manage.
4. Select Cancel Service and confirm.
5. If you are selling or giving away the Mini, go back to your device settings, click Transfer, and confirm the conditions to completely unpair the hardware from your profile so the new owner can activate it. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]
Note: If you purchased the Starlink Mini under a specific promotional commitment (such as a 12-month service term or a reduced equipment cost offer), canceling early may incur a penalty or hardware fee. Be sure to check your initial order terms in the portal. [1, 2, 3]
