If I was being generous I would say they are all less than accurate, if not I would say they are all crap. Best to use the bathroom scales method (don't let swmbo catch you) this video explains it .

If you get one of these you can weigh your van at each wheel and weigh the tow ball also.

It's a one time investment.

Hi Dick0, I have the orange version of the Reich scales and find it OK to measure static load like towball weight but it is totally inconsistent when measuring the wheel weight by rolling over as per their instructions, I have tried wood ramps etc but nothing makes the scales consistent, often up to 80kg difference per same wheel. Any clues?

I have a tandem axle caravan.

I had the same problem. I now jack the axle, place the scale under the wheel and lower the wheel on the scale.

I think for a more accurate reading you probably need to weigh both wheels at the same time, requiring two scales.

I will attempt to borrow another scale to test that theory.
