We returned home from a week at Broken Hill today. Broken Hill was wonderful! The recent rains have made the usual red soil plains green, with a thick layer of lush grass. Hills near the Daydream Mine were literally covered by pale blue wildflowers. The local people were very friendly and we contribut...

Guy Ropes to Awning
(Preview)
Hi, I was wondering is there a particular way of attaching guy ropes to the ends of an awning, or do you just tie them on. I am surprised there isn't a reinforced hole or a loop in the awning to attach a rope . Mine is a Prostor 500. Thanks Ian

Tap Fittings

Just returned from a short trip and discovered the tap in the Kitchen area had come away from the base, travelled only bitumen roads, so nothing rough to work it loose, on inspection to attempt to put it back together, it appears it was only glued into place, there are no screws, bolts or anything used to...

Flies - Negotiations have broken down.
(Preview)
City folks just use spray borne xyzethrin compounds that kill the flies that ingest the spray. The doors and screens close and problem solved. Those that look a bit deeper go to fly behavior. Desert Dwellers Fly Repellent actually works and the active ingredients are rosemary oil and cedar oil. The...

Carrera caravans - any good?

Hi. I was looking at the overwhelming range of off road vans and a couple of Carrera vans caught my eye. Mainly because $60,000 is a lot less than some of the others! Does anyone have any opinions on this brand? Thanks Noel
