(Preview)
Apologies if this has previously been discussed. I am looking at swapping my 2 x 120Ah AGM batteries for a single 135Ah lithium battery (DCMont 135) due to weight issues. My question relates to my current 240V 30Amp 3 stage charger (Electro BC 1230) not specifically made for lithium batteries. I rea...

Ibis 3 air conditioner
(Preview)
As I understand it, air conditioners cool the air by removing moisture. The Ibis 3 has a 'Dry' function that is not really explained in its manual. When set to Dry, one can set a temperature just the same as when set to 'Cool' , which is aircon. Can anyone explain the difference between the Cool and Dry fun...

Diesel heater power source.
(Preview)
Hi all. My caravan solar regulator instructions say I should connect all devices to the regulator.
The new diesel heater instructions say I should connect straight to the battery.
Is either of these a more suitable option?
Thanks.

Compressor fridge only works on 240v - is it wired wrong?
(Preview)
Hello all The previous owner of my van swapped the 3 way fridge for a Waeco CR-1140 compressor model. It is specified as 12 / 24 Volts DC / 100-240 Volts AC, but currently it only works on 240v. My guess is that is is not wired to the battery correctly but that seems a strange thing to do. Or possible a fuse b...

Changing Suburban 240V thermostat
(Preview)
Water heater works well on gas but only warm on 240V. It was suggested that replacing the 240 V thermostat should fix it. The manual for our model SW6DEA doesn't actually show a part number for a thermostat, just the thermostat cover.
Has anyone changed one of these before who could give me some tips?

I have a major problem with the 12v Carefree awning (length 4.5mt) on my 11yr-old Jayco Conquest motorhome. It 'reluctantly and noisily' extends out only about a half-metre and then no further. I have been told that the shaft is probably damaged. I am resigned to replacing it but I'm not keen to get a...
