My chemo program has been set at every Friday for 30 weeks. Quite a long stretch & commitment. Have had 2 doses so far & feeling fine. Only problem where they put the cannula in vein in arm has left me with 2 large very black round (2 inches across) marks. Oh well, skin decorations! Cheer...

Venturing out and about.
(Preview)
Today I felt normal. Decided to go up town and have a wander around Stocklands Shopping Centre. First time I have driven the van in over 2 months, felt a bit nervous to start with. But once I was in and driving it felt like I hadn't been away from it at all. The family have been away in Gladstone with Jacinta'...

Good trip but not a long one
(Preview)
Not a pleasant topic of conversation but one that probably needs an airing. I am always astounded by the number of really fat older people in the campground population. At a time of life when you can make good food and exercise choices why are there so many human sausage skins looking about fit to burst?...

Anxiety and Depression

Probably the main reason folks who prefer to "toughen the f..ck up princess" rather than give themselves over to medical intervention, when confronted with anxiety and depression, has been the blunt nature of the tools available to the profession in the past. I have just been through a d...

Sciatic nerve problems. Lower back.
(Preview)
G'day! Yea, I damaged the lower back a few years ago. With a couple of visits to a doctor, all I got was 'scripts for pain killers. Now, the big decision is to go under the knife. Won't bore you with all the things I have tried to stop the pain. They don't/won't work. Have to see a surgeon 21st of this month. Im...

WOW, I am relatively new in Grey Nomads, (about 4 or 5 months) but, I thought that this Health & Wellbeing page would be a busy place, how wrong was I ? Atrial Fibrilation - Ablation

I know that there are a lot of old farts on this forum, and this could be of help to a few. I stress that this is not applicable to everyone and you should consult your GP and then a specialist to see if it is applicable to you. I had Atrial Fibrilation. The research I did on the subject said that up to 25% of peo...
