  Not sure where to post this it's a true story but could pass for a joke .

 Bloke in Kempsey NSW out  front of home mowing the nature strip

Leaves mower running while takes catcher to backyard to empty

Returns to see mower on the back of an old ute going down the road at a great rate of knots .

 Gets UTE rego and calls local fuzz  to  if there's a car in the area   to recover his mower .

 Local fuzz log incident and tell him to claim it on his contents insurance .

Two days pass a he receives a call from the local land council asking if his mower was worth $500 .

 Blokes agrees it's worth at least that .

Two days pass up turns cheque for the full $500 courtesy of the local Aboriginal Land Council

Three days pass and there's a knock on the door

 Big Aboriginal standing there asking  " Where's me catcher "

That $500 came out of your taxes people and why insurances keep going up and up
