Another Example of Small World

First Example:

I'm at Border Village Roadhouse this morning waiting for my next job to arrive.

This fellow was eating breakfast and looked a bit familiar.

When he rose from the table he came over to me and said, "Why aren't you at First City Caravilla?"  We exchanged greetings and information and he was off.

He was parked behind me in 2009 or 10 in the Cairns van park.  He's a truck driver from Victoria on his way west.

Second Example:

I had tea at the BP Roadhouse at Ceduna.  I also booked in so I don't antagonise this cold.

When I ordered the lady behind the counter looked familiar.  "Lois?"

The lady looked up with a blank look.  I don't blame her for that.  She hadn't seen me for more than 20 years.  At one stage for several years, she was my ex-partner's partner, and my middle daughter's step mum.  He belted her too, and we spent a lot of time talking about that.

We caught up and exchanged news, as you do.

It's a small world when you have wheels under you.

I agree with that one in N.T. one year speaking to campers as you do found a girl that lived in the same place as me in England and then found that she lives across the road from me here in S.A. crazy . Helena.

When I was at Possum Park last year, the couple parked next to me used to live around the corner here at home.  I used to say hello etc when walking by all the time.

When we had lunch with GST and his wife in Tsv in March, realised that he was possibly at the Infantry School in Singleton NSW when Pete was there (some 30 (?) yrs ago) - yep, small world indeed!

There's always someone who knows someone out there - need to be careful!

Where were you and why didn't you call up on the radio to say "g'day"?

Which way was I/we travelling?
