JRH & Irona

Thanks blaze, Doug and Kandagal, yes I think the ship they were on was the Princess something, owned by the Yanks.

I spoke to JRH on the phone today, they are on the mend (been at least couple of months they've been ill) but not fully yet.

Hopefully JRH will post here soon and give a bit more info.

I see the Oriana is having current problems with one of their cruises as well, see;

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2247398/Plague-Christmas-cruise-Passengers-told-stay-cabins-winter-vomiting-strikes-400.html

Here is an old 2010 link about Princess Cruises, see the video on it about avoiding one of the virus's;

Some of you may not be aware, but JRH and his good wife Irona have been very ill and are only just recovering now, but not over it yet.

This long illness was during and following a trip overseas and a cruise on board ship.

Please join me in wishing them both a complete recovery and hope they are able to enjoy Xmas and have a much better New year.

Vic

PS:  I also wish all of you the very best for the festive season and 2013.

Hope they recover quickly. Was it the "Princess Plague"? Just asking as we are about to start nearly 3 months of cruising.

 We were not on the Princess line but on "The Voyager Of The Seas" a Royal Caribbean Cruise Compny from America and they already had the Norovirus on board as they gave all who had the virus free medical.  We later came down with a chest infection and cough and this lot cost us a little over $2500 in Medical Fees.  Hopefully our Travel Insurance will cover that.

Hope you both recover soon.  I was on the Oriana in early 2007.  There was a minor Norovirus outbreak on her then.

Cheers,

Sheba.

Sorry to hear you were sick that must have been awful, hope you are on the improve.

I was in that queue for a 1 nighter with daughter and friends.  It was explained why there was a  delay as you got closer to the entrance.  After our flight being cancelled in the morning from Melbourne,. we were transferred to an international flight wich made us late by about 1.5hrs and we were in the queue from 2pm - 4pm. We missed lunch and had a snack at one of the cafes and then dinner was at 6pm.  Great night was had by all and we never slept and a long leisurely breakfast with plenty of coffee was had.  We were mindful ofg using the handwash at every entrance and luckily we were all fine.
