This is our old van which we have dubbed the " Iti-Whare " due to our kiwi heritage! It really is a comfortable home away from home for us newbies. We have had it about 9 months and have enjoyed a few short trips away in it with lots more planned just around SA for now but plans for bigger adventures in the future.
Thanks Janette we are happy with it now we have ironed out all the gremlins such as leaking roof and front window and cracked chassis. Will definately know what faults to look for next time coz this van had them all. Now it is repaired we find it comfortable and enjoy our times away in it and look forward to many more.
Thats great to hear as there doesnt seem to be too many of them around nowdays. What sort of viscount do you have? We have enjoyed gathering all the bits and pieces we need for our times away. We dont have an anex but have just ordered a shade cloth that attaches to the awning so hoping that will give us a little privacy and shelter from the elements.
Kia ora Judes and Bazz welcome, van looks great, but bro love love love the"big yellow beastie boy" we are a couple of Kiwi's too. We have a 1979 Tandem axel VIscount and love It Pull It wIth 1984 Toyota LandcruIser. Catch you round the tracks sometIme.
Cheers

Hi Judes and Bazz. Sorry, I got called away to an emergency. We have a 1980 14.5ft Poptop Viscount. We don't use the annexe as it's design sends water down the inside anyway. So we have a small sailtrack awning and hope to get a longer one soon. We had a week on blocks last year when our springs flattened out from fatigue. Now there is so much bounce in the new springs we find everything moved about (even with non-slip under them). We love the changes we have made and have no trouble pulling it so find it hard to think of getting a new one. It's allowed us to keep travelling with more space. We pull it with an XTrail.
No worries Neil and Ruth. So there are a few viscounts on the road then, thats good to hear. Ours is definately a comfortable home away from home.Take care travelling.

Thanks for the holler, always good to say hello to fellow kiwi. Your van sounds very comfortable. We love our van but have to admit to dreaming of one with shower and toilet but are very happy with it for now for the short trips we make at the moment. Tony's Effy is his pride and Joy. We have recently just brought an older territory to pull it when we want to take the mokopuna with us and to give Tony a chance to do some much needed work on the Effy.. We are in Adelaide so if you are in the are give us a holler. Sake travels.

No, you can't get rid of it unless you delete everything you typed and leave it blank. Well, we should recognise your yellow ute if we see it our there. Enjoy your time.
