Thanks Neilnruth. I've had it 3yrs now. Its very experienced on the outback dirt roads and so far nothing has fallen off. (knock on Wood) apart from a couple of those suction cup hooks that I fitted.
Its just the right size for me and Molly. Fits in a standard carpark, fully self contained, easy to drive and great for free camping. Considering I had not seen a motorhome until I purchased it I am very pleased with it. (Lots of internet research though) Suits me well for my purposes.
Thanks for sharing your photos, my van is very basic compared to yours. The previous owner fitted mine out to suit his needs, so I have changes I would like to do when I find the right people to do them for me without ripping me off.
It currently has a queen bed with storage underneath, and I want to turn that into 2 singles, one that can fold up when not in use, or be my day lounge with a table.
I don't have a shower but am happy to use a solar setup, and I have already purchased my porta loo.
It came with a microwave, small panty cupboard beneath that, and a power supply via a battery and inverter, so I have lights and some power to free camp.
I've also bought two portable gas burners for cooking, and a neat 'sink' from IKEA which has a nice deep wash up bowl, a lid that is a cutting board, and a dish drainer that sits on the lid (once it is washed).
I don't have a fridge yet, have been using either my small or large esky depending how long I go away for. I am still researching them.
I have a tank underneath the vehicle that holds a lot of water (not sure how much yet), and it has a small pump on it, which leads to a tap at the back of the vehicle. Its good for cleaning dirty hands/feet and rinsing beach things. There is a switch near the tap to operate the pump. I don't drink this water, but would boil it up to wash dishes no worries. It requires a hose to fill as the fill point has a hose connection.
It has had a tv in it before as all the leads are still I the cupboard above the front seats, but tv doesn't interest me, I'd rather listen to music or read a book.
There are lots of possibilities to change it and set it up exactly how I want it, which was the plan when I bought it, and in the meantime I could certainly live in it.
I will take photos and upload them in the next couple of days.
