A diesel fitter mate bought one, and is taking it to Cape York! He hasn,t got back yet, but I will post when I get news. By the way, the motor is a Mitsubishi. Bill

Welcome The Scottys from us. You might get better response if you post this in Techies Corner. Sorry We can't help you with this query but someone else might.

Might be worth checking some of the motoring forums re  honouring warranty issues.

I have a Great Wall 2.4Ltr petrol SUV. It is now 3years old, (where does time go?)

I have had very little problems with it and those were fixed under warrantee.

Petrol consumption when towing my 1200kg van is 12.5kl/100.City driving is not too much different.

Unfortunately the petrol needs to be 93RON or above. At least with a diesel the price is reasonably constant.

THe deisel usually gets better mileage than the petrol version. When I got mine the diesel version wasn't available in Australia.

We are all different in our preferences of vehicles so if you search through the forums and check everything,

then make up your own mind. There is a great wall owners forum on the net. They have some interesting posts.

Enjoy the journeyand have fun.

Kevin
