Plugs in CP's

I have noticed that a number of CP's amenity blocks quite often have no plugs for the basins.

I carry 3 different sized rubber plugs cut from old car tubes. The three sizes make it easier

to fit any plug hole. They have come in handy many times. They don't leak either. ( Old army trick)

My husband also carries a spare plug. Like you he finds they are often missing. I must tell him about the car tube plugs.

That's because people knock them off. Ask any caravan park owner and they'll confirm this.

A caravan park manager in Geraldton told us they'd had to spend $thousands (!) replacing the little H and C indicators on the hot and cold taps. Apparently there was some travelling group who's members scored points for the number of these they could steal, and it continued for over a year. ...no

Not just the H/C  indicators, they pinch toilet paper/liquid soap and what ever else is not nailed/ glued down. One park manager told us that is why he cannot leave any mops/mop buckets in the shower/ toilet bolck any more ,they just get taken as quick as he replaces them...Some of the parks have even had to take out the refrigerator due to people steeling other peoples food/ drinks .The world we travel into today is so much removed from years gone by.

And yet the caravan park in Junee was still supplying clean bath mats for those who wanted them in the shower block when we were there last year.

A small rubber ball, about the size of a golf ball,  is usually suitable as a plug for most sinks.

Only have need to carry the one 'plug'smile

Good idea Kevin, can you tell me approx what diameters - I guess they just sit on top of the plughole?

 Denis, I have 1 x 10cm, 1 x 9cm and 1 x 7cm. roughly cut, so not necessarily round, 'cos I just cut with a large pair of shears.

Regards

Kevin

Thanks Kevin, I've got a sheet of neoprene that should do the job.
