Any ideas on what to line cupboards with. In the past we have used soft plastic mesh and find it breaks down and goes soft and sticky. We also live in a hot climate.
Welcome to the forum Poodles Parents. We used that stuff too with the same result, so we tried out some other types and found that the more expensive stuff is longer-lasting and thicker. Its still worth it to save having your stuff from sliding about I think. One thing that works ok but still allows a bit of sliding is to line them with those cheap terry-towel tea towels.
Saw some really good looking stuff at Aldi yesterday - no holes in it - sort of a thinner version of yoga mats - about $4 I think, in a roll. The grip stuff with holes, lets crumbs and stuff through - these more solid ones could be easier to clean.

I use non slip in some cupboards but in deep ones where I need stuff to be able to slide to get it in and out (eg appliance and plastic storage boxes), I use chap vinyl from Bunnings. cut to size. Easy to clean, can be replaced if necessary, keeps the cupboard bottom in good order.
Like jetnomads I have purchased some reasonable quality vinyl on the bottom of cupboards and on benches the non slip matting and if dirty or damaged can be easily replaced, also use stubby holders to protect glasses and mugs.
