RE: Cheapest Way To Have A Funeral ????

Thanks everyone for all the information and all your thoughts. I live in Perth like Duh , I think  that what he was called. I would like to know how you went with the pricing of the funeral and what was the cost all up. I only want a basic funeral- no frills-. Husband the same.  So many here to chose from and the prices are confusing as this costs extra , etc. Just want a price on the whole package including all revelent paperwork.  Simple cremation if that possible .  Appreciate your help & assistance on this one  , cheers,  Bernie

GF - I was scrolling through this thread today - and thought Gary had been resurrected!  Then I looked at the date.  Miss him heaps.  His brothers took care of him - he is in Taree cemetary, I think.

I plan to bury myself at sea before I get too feeble to get around as the kids want nothing to do with me and stated they were not prepared to spend THEIR money disposing of me.
If I accidentally die on land my body will go to medical science and then when they are finished it will be delivered to a body farm and then they use if for research and dispose of when finished.
My assets will be donated to Blazeaid.
That will make the kids chuck a fit as they are furious that I am wasting THEIR money while I do this travel bit.
Looking at a house boat at the moment so I can share house boat and MH travel.
SO we are all different in our lives and desires pity the government and the people in charge of the country cant see that.

Hi Bernie, Duh was a username I was using at the time I made this thread.    I did mine through Simplicity, can't remember the exact figure but they will give you a quote and what is included etc, WA Cemetery Board does not charge for ashes now and supply them in a plastic container with screw lid, if a member of your family pick them up from the crematorium it cost you nothing, however if you get the the funeral people to include that it will cost you, also same for any adds in the paper, flowers etc.  They will give you a break down of all the costs.   Once you have a pre-paid funeral, there are no extra costs unless your rellies insist on having extra's, then they will have to fork out for any you have not paid for (eg; I am not having a service, left some money towards a wake and ashes will be scattered at a favorite location by them).  Simplicity are a National company so if you kick the bucket in another state travelling etc you can have your cremation there also.   Hope this helps.  Changing the subject, RIP Gary he was one of the good ones.
