UPDATE ON THE BEAST!


Been a busy week, among the socalled normal things we have to do each day I have managed to remove the two axul batteries, the twin DC-DC chargers , wiring, amp & volt meters from the cruiser.

I have built the new chassis mounted twin battery cradle, fitted the two DC-DC chargers, along with the amp & volt meters to the new rig, in the process of doing the wireing up of all these units.

I have also worked inconjunction with a local tradsman in desighing my new alloy canopy, including a reinforced inner structure to carry the boat & a boat loader,

Final desighn & confirmation of the order was done this arvo.

I have also been sharing desighns & idears with a very good friend who in in the middle of doing the same thing on his F250, it broke the chassis so off with the tub, fibreglass canopy & boat loader, repairs done & engineered to the chassis, a new tray fitted & was up to canopy stage.

He went with me yesterday to the tradie to see what I was having done & to get some Idears as well. I must have it as he also ordered a same desighn canopy for his this aro.

Could say its all happening.

Sounds like all is going well. It will be interesting to view the final out come and finished tow unit.

Now you have me thinking of one instead of the yank tanks JC.

Both my wife and I have back issues so the comments on the seats was of interest. Will have a look at them and see if my wife has any issues getting in and out seeing as she is on the shorter side.

I am thinking more on a fiver for our next one but could get voted down, depends on Truelux quality I guess.

 Hi Jeff, these seats are the factory option to the standard.  I was lucky as this vehicle had them fitted when we first saw it.

You may have to do some searching to find one with these seats just to have a trial test. Dont know where you are located but if you are ever any where near us you are welcome to check them out.

As for height of access, the vehicle has one inbuilt step in the door well which is no problem at this stage, however I saw one with a set of side steps fitted which made access very easy, basicly just walk in & sit down.

Thanks for the reply Jim. We are in SW Vic so some way off and just returned home from a couple of months in Qld/NSW.

Will be checking around after deciding which way we go with the van.
