I understand you want to make your own table, just a suggestion, I have a fold up roll up one that ends up in a bag like a camping chair bag. Got it from Repco for under 40.00
After spilling many a cup of tea or XXXX on unsteady tables, we now use an upturned 20 litre white plastic drum which double as a dirty clothes hamper when turned up the other way.
Very easy mate, the tube type leg has a fixed/welded nut in the top.
remove the centre stud & you have a flat alloy top, a ground peg & the tube leg to store.
Can you please explain about the bottom end - what is the base and what stops it from falling over?
Regards
This will blow my secret; A ground peg of 3/4" rod x about 300L with a colar about 75mm from the top. ( just a bit of pipe1/2" Long tube tack weled to peg as a locator for the leg to rest on. The leg is a tube that is a neat fit over the peg, its a three peice componet. The pic provided shows it on top of my fireside pole that holds billies, BBQ, camp ovens, which is the reason for the height which is standing height. Good for tools, coffee mugs, toasting equip & goodies. As a coffee/ beer & nibblies table when on the ground peg it's about 450 high.

Hang on JC.....I got all the bits that I need to make the infringement, but.....how can it stand on one leg when on a concrete pad
Regards
Denis
Good Q, thats where we differ, I dont go near concrete pads.
A, The old rule ;If at first you dont suceed get a bigger hammer!
Guess its back to the 20ltr drum in that situation, a small hole in the top & fill with water, drop the leg through the hole. A spur of the moment thought.
As for my latest gadget/toy; you will have to catch me on the road for that one.

My wife sorted it out for me - just a second smaller 'top' that can go on the 'bottom'. The 'top' will fit into the 'bottom' when it's packed away as well so it will take up no more room.
So maybe that alteration will keep me out of the patents court and no clues on the new gadget?

MAATTEEEEEE, you have let the good wife sort it for you. Thats going to be harder to deal & live with than the patents in court, but I'll still have to have a look at the copy just to be sure.
Might have to send Dazren around to investigate.
Now you have it sorted you had better make another ground peg for the second table so the good wife can have her own coffee table when not on that hard stuff.
Now you have two, like I did But I made a third table the other day for another purpose, gotta stay in front.LOL
As for some clues, Nuh, lets just say its a novelty to catch out the not so switched on people in the free camps.
Best keep the fridge stocked, might just catchup one day.

Just finished my new one leg table - made from well seasoned timber with a drop centre to stop the nibblies falling off the edge. The leg and drop centre unscrew easily so the top can be used with a drum. Hopefully this design does not contravene JC's patent rights.

I have just bought a Lifetime little table from BFC which I love $39.95. I use it at home for my laptop as well. Adjusts to 3 levels and is weatherproof.
