We have been to Green Lake on 2 occasions: once in 2012 and again last year. Both times it was spoiled by people (mainly teenagers) racing around on trail bikes.
The worst was in 2012 when they even did wheelies close to our awning while a parent sat in her ute and watched them. When I spoke to her I got a real earful..
We found that since the new signs went up re motorbikes etc, the numbers have decreased noticeably - if you are there and have trouble get in touch with Officer Bob at Stanhope Police station - he will do some drive throughs. There are new rules re where you can camp as well - no camping on the fresh water lake - only the big lake with the boat ramp.

Hi Judy and welcome to the Forum. I can vouch for the fact there are mice at Green Lake, although I've never seen one. About 2 years back, had a mouse get into my engine, slipped the timing belt, had to arrange a tow truck to get my MH to the Shepparton Iveco Dealer. 6 weeks and $11,000.00 later, I drove out of the Dealer's Service Center. Fortunately the Insurance picked up the tab. Whenever I go there now, before I start the engine, you'll see me under the bonnet knocking at the engine to frighten off any mice that might have made home there.

Since light travels faster than sound, some people appear bright until you hear them speak.

Not far for me to travel to Greens Lake! I have fished there, driven past often but never camped there yet. Ain't it always the way that we seem to pass by the places that are nearly in our own backyards!
Anyone still at Greens at this time of Year? We heading up next weekend 4th March 2016 for a short stay with Caravan camping crew. Look out for our corral of mixed bunch and come say hi.
HunnyBunny come into your back yard and enjoy some company if you so desire (and show us the best fishing spots.)
