Our new shower and toilet ;)

oops posted this in General before I realised there was a dedicated section.

This is our new van .. we picked her up on Thursday (21' Retreat Fraser).  We're both looking forward to finally having the luxury of a shower and toilet on board.  No more trekking to the caravan park shower block on a cold and rainy winter's day, woohoo!  smile

Next year we're planning a trip to S.A. and Victoria, hope to get to Green's Lake and catch up with a few GN's.

Cheers

Very nice indeed. We'll maybe see you at Yonaring dam in Feb depending on your travelling schedule to SA.

Thanks NeilRuth, it is very comfortable too.

Hi J & B, we did a quick trip to Perth on Thursday, back Friday.  So I guess the 'first trip' is done. Bumma.  Heh heh.

We are off tomorrow for the real 'shakedown' to Augusta, Pemberton, Walpole, Denmark, Albany then back home.  That should sort any bugs out before the 1st service at 3 months.

We may even get the Yornaring trip in before that service.

Looking forward to catching up with you guys again.

Cheers N & L

I reckon this would be the only place someone would get excited about a new shower and toilet? Glad you are enjoying it.

"Nice Van Neil, is the dog going along too??? "

Yes Vic, he seems to enjoy it except when it gets to 40°c+ like it was on the last day of the trip.  I didn't like that much either.

"I reckon this would be the only place someone would get excited about a new shower and toilet? Glad you are enjoying it. "

We are NeilRuth, so nice not to have to wear thongs (on feet lol) into the shower for health reasons.  Also knowing whose bum has been on the loo is good.

Works a treat MrB2, would take it back for exchange otherwise ha ha.

Overall apart from a few, expected niggles which should be fixed at 1st service, we are more than happy with the van.  It towed better than expected considering the extra weight - 2660kg, some 6ookg more than it's predecessor.  Fuel consumption for the trip was 15.5L/100km which included some hilly stuff from Pemberton through Walpole, Denmark & Mt Barker.  Depending on the road condition we easily sat on up to 100kmh.

Cheers Neil & Lynne

Good to hear Neil, you both deserve the fruits of your labour over the years, and now in more comfort etc.

Happy travels with the new wheels ! biggrin
