That's a good idea - I think I'd have problems getting the tile edges to meet 'intimately'....any tips sarg?
Also re making pics smaller - download FastStone Image resizer from the link below - it's free and very easy to use.

Or if you don't want to download anything new Sarj, just

right click on your chosen picture,

click on edit,

click on resize,

click on pixels,

change the horizontal to 640, (that's a pretty good size for what we're doing.)

click ok and save. Done!

Now about the makeover, that's a great idea. Looks very smart. smile

Beth,  I'm a bit slow and basically dumb - can you explain that a  bit more please....do you click on the photo after you've uploaded it to the GN or what?  I'll be in anything that is simple.

Regards

Denis

I tried that one once, but still prefer to use Prish Resizer.  Very easy and simple to use.  Puts your resized Pics. straight into a seperate folder.

Oh I only learnt this not so long ago from Vic41. Assuming your photo is in 'my pictures', (I have Windows 7) you click on it there before anything else. After you've resized it and saved it, you'll find it in the same place in 'my pictures'.  Does that make sense?

I suggest you write the method down until you 'get it'. It won't take you long to get the gist of it.

Doesn't work in my Windows 7 - in my pictures when I right click I get lots of options but none about resizing. Did a Google on resizing with Windows 7 and Microsoft said to download "Silverlight" which I did and then open "paint" - however to resize that way takes a long time! Maybe you've got a super deluxe version of Win 7.
Thanks anyway Beth.

Hako, images are altered first in your computer before uploading. You can't alter them here on the forum. I think most viewers have a resizing option... ya just gotta look for it

Thanks Gary - I already use "Faststone photo resizer" but when Beth suggested an alternate easier way I jumped on it.

I like it Sarg.

As for the resize thing, I copy the original pic and put into separate folder marked "Copies" then resize to email or post here on the forum. That way I keep the original pic for future reference or use. Apart from adding text to a pic if Want it I do nothing else, what I take is what I get.

Hello All

Isn't interesting how the initial subject material changes mid stream, from an impressive table make over to picture down sizing All within 3 or 4 posts.

I would suggest such a diversion could be another subject heading for discussion.

Any questions or comments?

Cheers

It didn't change at all - sarg put up his tiled table for discussion and also made a comment that he didn't know how to reduce the size of his picture.  Discussion never varied from sarg's tiling job and his comment on resizing photos. smile
