Building your own web site

Hey everyone.  I notice a few on here have their own "web-sites"  (well lookalikes) - almost like a diary to show pics of the various places they have been, what they did there and long or short notes about these places.

Im looking for one that is 1) free  2)  not for commercial use - only as Ive described above 3) easy as hell to use for the geriatric laptop user (ie - not a know-all, computer savy kid!!!)

Who can help or suggest sites that are available - tried google, but the few free ones and mainly only free to establish, but then you pay and the rest are for commercial use

I think some of the ones on here are actually "blogs" - from places like "BlogSpot" I think that is the one Yeoeleven uses. It seems pretty easy from my point of view.

For a quick and easy free website try out www.wix.com

I use it a lot to get people up and running.

Dead easy.

You're gunna hate this suggestion but here goes.......  FACEBOOK

You can upload as many photos as you like and organise them into albums, your friends can then view the albums and comment on the pic's. And you can set up security settings as to who can see your pics and posts. AND it's free!.... what more could you want.
