Saunders Malt Extract

While in hospital recently, I was so damn hungry I ate porridge every morning for breakfast... and actually got to like it! Now at home, I have quick oats every morning BUT with brown sugar and a tablespoon of Saunders Malt Extract. Yum! Can't get enough of the stuff. It has the consistency of honey, and can be used as a spread as well. If you like real malt flavor on cereal, toast, or in baking, try it. I didn't know it existed until I spotted it on the bottom shelf at the supermarket. It was in the jam, vegemite, peanut butter, honey aisle.

I'm with you johnno. I rarely use anything else these days in my brews, that or Light Dry Malt Extract. What happened to the health shops that used to see Liquid Malt Extract in bulk at reasonable prices? all they sell now is **%#$& muesley mix and pills.. GRRRRRRR...

Malt extract on fresh bread and butter. So yummy but so fattening!! (OK for Gary though!) Can't believe you have never found it before Gary.
