Friday and Kieran was going into Shepparton to get a few items to improve his camping experience and invited me to go along. Great was able to link up with Richard and family he had brought my speakers. We all had a snack at Target Food Hall, before driving them back home. Had a good happy hour with new Grey Nomad's arriving.
Tried out the light dancing speakers the sound is fine and the display lights up the bus at night in a spectacular way. The photos do not do justice to the colour display, probably my lack of experience with the PowerShot camera but I couldn't get the colours I tried various settings including high speed sports to freeze the movement.
Saturday was the birthday party and a seperate post was made to celebrate it.
Sunday and the party continued three of the ladies who came out yesterday left to follow their own agenda but the rest had happy hour and some continued until 9pm. My new stock of alcohol took a beating but Rob gave me a bottle of Railways Anniversary Port bottled in 1998, that wasn't opened and is waiting for a special occasion.
Monday and a trip to Echuca with Kieran and Sarg, was able to get Dennise's Tassie tickets printed, she had taken the Apple Mac into a library and was unable to have them printed. I had them emailed to me and was able to put them onto a thumb drive, easy peasy. We had lunch in a pub at Rochester then arrived back with the rest of our purchases.
Another extended happy hour after which Billeee lite a fire and we kicked on again till late. Lucky I had a good lunch because by the time we broke up it was too late to cook. Tried to buy a copy of Mrs Brown's Boys De Movie today but it will be out on the 20th. I have plans of a quiet night in when we can get it, Dennise and I have a history of watching episodes of M. B. B. dating back to our times in Tassie.
Not used to getting dressed up and going out at night but tonight I did. Kieran was giving a talk at the Girgarri Community Hall about Parkinsons disease. His wife Julie unfortunately was a sufferer for over 15 years and died earlier this year, we met her at Greens last year, Kieran still gives talks and we wanted to give him support. Wednesday and had several offers to get shopping from surrounding towns and had the opportunity to go to Echuca with Sarg but needed nothing and stayed at home.
Doing a bit of work for Heather on the electrics in her coaster, she had bought 2 new 105AH deep cycle batteries for the house side of the bus and my job is to position them and connect them in parallel. Then reorganise the solar to flow into the new batteries, hard wire a waeco fridge freezer and install an inverter. Done the same thing in my bus so it was no trouble. Nothing is too much trouble for Heather, her partner Rod did so much for me before his untimely passing.
Thursday and Dennise had to go into Shepparton to have an electrical problem fixed in her coaster and was able to buy Mrs Brown's Boys De Movie. I cooked tea ( 2 min noodles in honey and mustard simmer sauce with lots of cubed frozen vegetables all over rice) we had a quiet evening as previously planned missing the happy hour and Doug's arrival with the new caravan. Not to worry I called on Doug later and had a conducted tour of the Chief Arrow.
Pinched a few of Billeee's pics so they are a bit bigger than usual. John
Sounds a good week John. It was good to see you when you visited last night. Apart from the builders, dealer and myself, you were the first person to see inside it.
