Quiet day, tried to find out why the mattress kept going down and got Paul to help me. Both of us holding it underwater and rotating the positions failed to find another leak so it is now in the rubbish skip. The last time I used it it was fully pumped when I took it into the lake and half an hour later it was floppy. A good fire with a few GN's around it finished off the day well.
Paul took off this morning heading for S A wants to see as much as he can before returning to Qld. in February. Cold and windy until late morning by then there were lots of weekend warriors with their speed boats and skis, all good and something to watch as they take over large areas on the lakeside. Sunday morning and they mostly have disappeared and we await today's contingent as we get ready to visit Girgarre markets and the Stanhope stalls round the main street.
.
Had a good time round the market looking for the healthy stuff, bought fruit and mango chutney as well as cider vinegar and back in Stanhope the supermarket was open and I was able to buy some Olive Grove classic spread to take over the margarine job. Have been reading about the virtues of vinegar and will have a warm glass of water with 3 soup spoons of cider vinegar and a teaspoon of honey daily, not over impressed about the taste but the value over weighs it.
Happy hour was at Sarg's place this afternoon and the discussion point was Xmas lunch, who was bringing what had who was putting in money. Sally was taking notes and everything was being discussed. Jules, Billeee and I were there although we are going to Chris's place in Frankston for Xmas Day but last years planning was discussed.
Mezzie arrived this evening and it took 4 of us to put up her lift up top. Mezzie, Sarge, Billeee and I spent a hilarious time all fitting into the roof area whilst lifting and pulling to get the final support into place. Mezzie says that it fits in easily but we didn't think so, Sarg said to pull it down and have another go tomorrow.
Went to Kyabram with Mezzie to collect and have fitted her new fridge freezer, all worked out good and we had plenty of time to look around Ky. Back to camp and we sorted out her new solar panels so now the new fridge and the solar panels are all working. Had a swim in the lake to cool down after our exertions. The roof lifting went more smoothly tonight, not sure how Billeee, Jules and Mezzie all fitted in to the roof area but I stayed out to take a couple of photos
.
The happy hour was at Dave's place but we were fixing up a few jobs and Mezzie threw on a banquet of nibblies so we missed the happy hour but had one of our own. The total fire ban has been lifted so I decided to light up the choofer and we all enjoyed a jaffle, Mezzie had bought a jaffle iron whilst in Ky so we gave it a work out with bananas and raw sugar. Had a late night listening to the new dancing light speakers.
Now have the new phone and new patch lead, spent all morning getting it activated and am pleased to say the number has not been changed. Supposed to be able to transfer across the contacts with bluetooth but I couldn't get the phones paired so the rest of the morning was spent manually entering new contacts from the old phone. Now all good and am waiting for the first call with the old number on the new phone. John
Hey John. I left a note on one of your other posts, simply can you send our well wishes to Heather and Norma. Just to jog their memory, the blue valiant and mobile hairdresser. Cheers Paul and Wendy.....The Retro Roamers
