A VERY IMPORTANT DAY AT GREENS LAKE (ROWDY RABBIT)

WITH THE PERMISSION OF (gunnago) HEATHER.

Yesterday 29/1/15 was a memorable day here at Greens Lake, Central VIC. Why? We had all gathered around Heather and a couple of family members, Sandy and her husband Paul to say farewell to "Rowdy Rabbit" Rod.

Rod past away here at Greens early 2014 and Heather bought him back to his favourite place. It also gave his family, many friends and GN friends to also say goodby.

A lovely memorial service was held and a few tears added to the water. Sandy (Rod's Sister) and Paul came across from Adelaide and bought Iced Coffee that was Rod's favourite, enough for everyone to enjoy with Rod.

Heather and Sandy sent Rod off with a Coffee, Fag and his Iced Coffee as well. Blue and white balloons were released and floated away over the lake to mark the occassion.

I'm sure all present Heather thank you for allowing us to be part of such an important day in your life. It has been a real pleasure to spend time with you leading upto yesterday and for a few weeks to come. Keep Safe.

A few pics taken on my iPhone as I felt it was a little less intrusive than my big monster camera. I have not said anything about the photo's as I think they speak for themselves. I have said something on one only.

I remember the time well. I was camping at Green Lake and spent some time with Rod and Heather (Maybe Heather doesn't remember me) and I received news that Rod had passed away the day after I left. My thoughts are with you Heather. RIP Rod...

Thank you Heather for allowing us to be part of your special day. We all talked about how great a person he was and has left a major memory for us all to take into our journey. We trust you are able to continue your journey with wonderful memories of Rod alongside you.

Lovely weather, lots of friends, even other campers who had heard so many good things about Rod that they asked to attend. Farmers Union Ice Coffee, coffee, a smoke. Blue and white balloons and many many happy memories. It was an honor to be part of this special day.

Hi Heather

Gee one year has passed, Kay and Dave + our two small dogs, Indy & Jessie, were at Greens Lake  2 days before Rod passed, we shared a good few moments with you both, Heather and Rod, RIP Rod, and Heather great that you are still on the road.

If you remember us, we were camped by the boat ramp and you two were camped by those noisy people that had a party every  night.

We will back at Greens in the next few weeks, hope you will be there but if not happy travels

cheers

kay & Dave
