It's been lovely here at greens for the past week but the conditions are hard on a person with a hiace and tarps. Can anyone suggest another free camp close by that's a bit more sheltered? I need to be near the mechanic in corop for a few weeks. Thanks

Go up and ask Dougwe about Aysons, not far away, and you might find a more protected site there, or you could move up into the treeline.

Yep I have finally left Greens and currently in Melbourne getting a few bits and bobs done to the Chief. Mornington Peninsula tomorrow Thurs) for a week then across to NSW south coast for a month then heading north to Townsville until....who knows, I don't.

TR, you could go to Aysons Reserve or Girgarry. Both reasonable. Girgarry has a Dump Point and nice fresh water, hot showers as well. There is a donation box in the shower area.

Both places are close by for your mechanic stuff.
