We've done it again !!

Here we go again, Our 41th caravan, now we are getting somewhere near the size and type of van we have been looking for,

This caravan was first advertised for $ 21.000 the owners lived way out in the Country 3hrs fast drive out of Perth W.A.

when they didn't get any bites after a long period, they dropped the price to $15.000, I saw this van advertised on GUMTREE a long while ago, On the spur of the moment I thought I would be cheeky and make an offer of $10.000,

they replied saying they could not drop that low, so I then made another offer of $ 11.000 saying that I was a pensioner and couldn't afford any more, well that did the trick and "Bingo" we have another van.

It's a 21 ft 1996 Coromal Caprice with R/V cycle air con, a 150 lt fridge plus a separate Freezer, full oven, plus a Micro Wave, two single beds plus a shower and loo at the rear and a roll out awning & annexe which has recently been renewed, good road tyres on double axles and a couple on new spares on the rear,  with  a little tiding up we will be on the road for this years Wild Flower Season.  " Bring it on"

Here it is, just home today and waiting to be cleaned............

Howdy one and all,  Well we've had the Coromal home for a couple of days now, and I'm starting to find a few things that will require fixing,

nothing really major ( thank God ) the usual things that get worn like those darn cupboard catches that Coromal were using at that time, the pull knob type that either will not release the door or the knob comes off in your hand, and being a Coromal there is a great many doors and draws everywhere.

One good thing, this model has the wind-out windows with bubble Perspex, instead of the sliding windows that were in the earlier models,  which always seemed to leak .  now, when I get all of these windows to open and a corner joint in one top window frame repaired I'll be happy.

I'm happy that all the major appliances like the fridge, freezer, micro wave, and air con are all working fine, I've still to try the oven but it looks like it hasn't been used at all, still it will get a good check anyway, mainly looking for gas leaks, then the operation afterwards.

One thing I've noticed is that the walls of the roll-out awning have been stowed away damp, resulting in some Mildew and mould spotting, this may take some time to remove, but not imposable .

All things considered, the van is in pretty good nick seeing as it's twenty years old.

here are a couple of shots of the interior..............

Sorry John,  I think the cost of fuel in my old Patrol would knock a big dent in that amount,  biggrinbiggrinbiggrin

Besides, the Missis would kill me if I sold this van, it's the nearest we have come to getting the right sized van, after 41 attempts she reckons this will be the last. hmmhmmhmm   we will see.  smilesmilesmile

Tell you what John,

When we win the Lotto, you can have the van for what we payed for it but, You will have to come down to N.S.W. to pick it up though, as that is where we will be, ordering our new Winnebago. biggrinbiggrinbiggrin
