We just purchased a great deal from another caravan forum which was for the next 10 editions of their mag with DVD plus a free camping book. It sort of sounded and read that the free camping book would be on a par with Camps Aust wide.It include colour pictures of selected sites with all other relevant info one would need.
Was going to purchase the Camp 8 book, but in our Camp 5 book we have added many other sites not mentioned and also a lot of personal info like... Top Spot, as per Grey Nomad forum. And we thank all concerned for that info.
But the camping book is totally on free camps. so do not expect to see low cost caravan park sites mention. Should get delivery by end of the week.
Now having said the above, the Grey Nomad newsletter and the info on this site is 10 out of 10.
As you know I am a regular contributor to this site.
I have also had a great deal from them before got 10 issues with dvd plus a top name shade sale for a low price. They will call you to make sure it arrived and that you are happy
G'day/ Last week received the free camping book. Very intensive in it contents. Also received today the first of the Books with the DVD. The DVD is on Tassie and the first book we have has the feature article on Crowd free camp sites.
I believe that the Camp 8 book would be probably more informative than the free camp book we just got.
But hey!!! pretty good value the book and 10 mags with DVD for virtually the same price as the Camp 8 book.
Obviously a lot of information will be gained from the reading of the 10 books, and watching the DVD.\As we are currently grounded due to health issues, this will be good R&R and at least keep us in the caravan scene.
