Hi Dougwe,

We only just got home two hours ago. Wait till I post under General. We are going to give Jayco a blast and a half after Iv'e had a rest. What a B day we have had.

Uh oh..... That dosent sound good.......allthough it does seem commonplace with all new vans that the first few days are traumatic after such a gestation period.    Hope it all gets sorted well for you and you get to use as intended.

I am keen to follow your adventures....... Purely for planning our own future..... Good luck

Did you have any trouble with the 2 piece floor join?

Hey man, appreciate what you have brought. Like us you have brought a van for say $20,000 less that other makes and comes with all the modes and cons. I read today a magazine reviewing 20 different makes and models, and the Jayco Silverline was right up there. Sure we got crocked cupboard doors, and draws, the table is about to come adrift and we haven't even used it yet, but I've been promised that they will fix it.
Take it easy and don't be too hash, all will be good.
Merry Christmas
Ian.

Yep. It came off the Assembly line Wednesday of last week 7days ago. The veneer finnish ( Brought to our attention by handover staff ) under the fridge  is both bubbleing and cuts in two places. Just wait till I file my 20 page report after 4 hours of ownership. I'm P..... .Off when they say to you face, there's a four month wait for service. Go Figure. And they have............. QUALITY CONTROL NOT.

Gday...

cry no confuse Incredible Jim hmm Why on earth did you take delivery?

Given the little I know from this thread, I certainly would have walked away and refused to accept delivery.

Not exactly the same situation perhaps, but back in Dec 2008 when I went to pick up my van I had "issues" .... there was 'discussion' for about an hour about the 'unacceptability' of the van .. and I walked away .... and ultimately didn't take full, 'unconditional' delivery until May 2009 - with documentation stating warranty started from the May date of actual pickup.

I sympathise with you ... thankfully I have had not a single issue with that van since picking it up over six years ago - travelling, and living in it, full-time.

Cheers - John
