In 2008 we moved on from our Kimberley Kamper Trailer to a Kimberley Karavan. Our first camp in our new home on wheels was at the nice freebie on the bushy common in the NSW town of Broke - mainly because we felt that it reflected our financial status after the big purchase. We certainly enjoy the increased comfort provided indoors by having hot & cold running water, toilet, shower,  airconditioning, diesel heating, TV (hardly EVER watch it), diesel cook top and microwave (which we usually store our medication in!).  We  appreciate the ability to camp anywhere almost indefinitly given the onboard solar panels, generator backup and facility for pumping water into the second tank from any source (although we have managed so far to only use good quality water in both tanks).We also like the option of hooking up the external shower nozzle so we can appreciate our surroundings as we bathe.  HOWEVER, our preference is still to spend most of our time outside, under the awning, or tellling tall tales, sipping the odd cold wine/beer beside the camp fire preferably at some pictureseque, remote, awesome part of our beautiful country.  When fully laden with fuel, water, gear etc the KK weighs about 1 ton. We towed her in the beginning with our dear old Nissan Patrol, called Betsy, who had given us incredibly faithful service towing our old Kamper all over Australia.  After a couple more years, we decided to put Betsy out to pasture, so to speak, and  upgraded to our new Nissan Patrol, aka 'Linus' (so named because they were the shares my husband had to sell to pay for her).
