A CLAYTONS LONG WEEKEND

Yep, this is a so called long weekend, actually an extra long weekend. To be truthful though it is actually a "Clayton's" Long Weekend as it is not really a Long Weekend at all.

Australia Day is Tuesday this coming week NOT today or Monday and Victoria at least don't have a designated day off to make a long weekend.

What has been very very quiet here at Greens has become extra busy and has been getting that way all day to the point that lakeside is full already. A few big groups set up and fires everywhere and thumping music already.

DOESN'T ANYONE WORK IN THE REAL WORLD ANYMORE.

I am not complaining YET. All here were aware this was coming and I chose to stay.

If the big group to the left of the ramp are reading this, cut the thumping music and generator by 11.00 latest PLEASE.

Only between Tuesday & Thursday. Monday they have a hangover from the weekend, Friday they have a hangover from Thursday's ''tradies night''.  Always book your car in to be serviced on a Wednesday because the APPRENTICE  that's doing it is at his soberest. Don't expect any pride in workmanship in the REAL WORLD these days all anyone is interested in is PAY DAY. In the case of the Australia Day Weekend it takes them all of the following week to recover. Pesimistic but unfortunately TRUE.

Mmmmm, thought so.

Heaps of people here not working and I tell you that for free.

Quite a few people with boats not doing the right things out on the water too. The local sherif was here yesterday and not much took place. Maybe the authorities should send a couple of people out with big thick books and fine the offenders, no warnings. There are heaps of signs around now, including next to the launching ramp so enough warnings anyway. Still, no stupid things happening so far so that's good.

Oh! That big group left of the ramp, well they don't read this forum, their thumping music starts at 9am until about 11pm.

Doesn't sound very peaceful Doug. I may have to look further away than the boat ramps.

The noise maker has gone Marj, left early this morning. A lot have left or packing up to go. Might be the southerly wind creating surf conditions out further from the shore line. Same predicted tomorrow. So, not bad now.

Edit......oops, thumping music is back, bugga. Oh well.

You spoke too soon Doug.
I've just parked two doors up from you, all I can hear is the thump, thump of loud music.

All quiet on the western front now Plendo. Doug got rid of the noisy lot. Got out his bow and arrows, Took care of the riff raff. Calmed the whole place down.
