Hello MDE Delphine and Markus

A very good outcome, so all is well which ends well.

They say that a picture says a thousand words, so your video must have told the story

I believe that it was the searching prowess of dorian, pointing out that there is a choice of a light and heavy duty seat swivel, which will assist future Fiat Ducato buyers to be aware of this weakest link

Hi Tony
We finally found out the swivel base is a ISRI product. I rang and spoke to a rep from ISRI and he thought we may have the old model and suggested an inspection by ISRI rep in Perth which upon advising FIAT of this we then received an email stating they were replacing the swivels.
No one at Fiat could tell me the model number, only the part number 60911747 so I am none the wiser if we are getting exactly the same thing or an improved model. So we have to wait and see.
In our search we have found a couple of others with rocking seats due to swivels mainly in UK.
Anyone buying a new motor home please check your seats for movement before accepting the vehicle!

Regards
MDE

Update:
Swivel base was exchanged with exactly the same model. Whilst some improvement to drivers seat, passenger seat still rocks though doesn't make clicking noise like before.
Taking it to the Dept of Transport tomorrow for examination to see if they deem it safe or not.
Regards
MDE
