An easy habit to get into particularly with 5L wine casks (battery acid) selling for as low as $12. A good way of shortening your retirement we reckon.

Liver don't have one? I put my red into bottles from cask.. Have one bottle per night
Your liver might stand up to the punishment Dave, but will your brain? We've seen many people in nursing homes with alcohol induced dementia! A sad sight! Boredom encourages drinking, maybe you need an interest to give you a reason for traveling our fantastic country? We're not preaching & we're not being sarcastic.

Perhaps it wasn't alcohol induced dementia, Desert Dweller. It might have been the effects of having to listen to you moralising and talking about yourself continuously.
Desert dweller, to go making comments such as you do on this forum that is open to all members to read, shows you are lacking in both Tact and Intelligence, it is a reflexion on Your personality Not Dave's I have met Dave on a few occassions and find him a likeable fellow, he might like a glass or two of Red, but that is his business NOT YOURS, !! and it is not something that you have a right to go defaming a person on this forum about, ! in short mind your own bl--dy business, !! I assume that your tag, Desert dweller refers to where you like to travel out in the Desert, where there is hardly any people around, and you are alone without any real friends to talk to and be critical about, whilst not evaluation your own shortcomings, !! You seem to give all the answers !!-- when you don't even know the question, !! So go enjoy your desert, And Dave, I will have a wine with you anytime,!
His Doctor may have said a nice red is good for your health , And it is sad that someone can make a Judgement on a person who may enjoy a red , And that's from a person who is a tea totaler .
Obviously a little bit of healthy lifestyle advise goes down like a lead balloon. Did we mention Dave's personality, no. What the heck are you on about? As a matter of fact we're extremely social people that enjoy having a drink with others we meet on the road. With a little luck we won't be meeting up with you though. Are you always this rude?

Hi Dave, How are you going matey? Just been reading all this crap bagging you . Gee some people should get a life. If this bloke ever comes to Greens we get those aliens to get him and they will fix him up.
They usually only hang around Greens during summer Fay but they could be in the bushes over a bit from me as some funny noises there at night. Could be lurkers from the forum though
Down but not out with a bad cold as we speak. Must be the NSW weather

If we're in the area when you're there Dave & Doug, which we quite often are, we'll look out for you & enjoy a few reds with you. Some folk tend to get a little over-emotional particularly when you're not talking to them face to face. The issue of older people drinking to excess was on this mornings ABC News program. Very interesting.

My apologies, ! I am not usually this rude as you say, !! In this instance I made the assumption, that you were just being a know all smart alec, by posting on a wide open forum, degenerating another member about his love of a fine red wine, and assuming he has a serious medical problem !!
By your response, apparently you must have qualifications in this field, !! as either a Doctor, Dietician , Social worker, Psychiatrist, or other type of profession !! maybe even A Tarot card reader Phycic medium !! As you are able to evaluate a persons medical problems without knowing, seeing, or having any access to their history,!!
On the understanding that my assumption is fact,! and you are qualified to give medical opinions, then I do Apologise for thinking you were a smart alec know it all --

Thank you, apology accepted & we're glad that you've realized your own shortcomings.

I'm with you Dave, a bottle of red at night, every night, although mine comes out of a cask, cant beat 3 for $33.00 on special.
My cardiologist told me that a glass or two would be good for my heart. So me thinks, if 2 is good, 6 has got to be even better.
I spoke with Dave yesterday and he is up to his neck in plaster and is sitting back with said foot resting on a stool enjoying the interest in his red wine. He reckons it is way better than going to the movies. His son gave him a big box of popcorn to enjoy with his red.
Oh! He said to say his wine bladder (converted water bed bladder) is up for sale cos the wine tastes much better out of the bottle plus he has re-fitted the hose and tap outside next to his chair. That is connected directly to the now wine tank (ex water tank) under the van. Less risk of falling down the back step that way.
Keep Safe Dave

Went the a test match at the MCG many years ago when you could take an Esky full of grog in with you. We were seated in the outer. As the match progressed we had water flowing downhill under our seats. Turns out it was piss. The two guys behind us had bicycle tubes attached to their old fella's running down their trouser legs onto the concrete . That way they didn't miss a ball going to the Mens. Dirty buggers! Looking forward to tonight's bottle of wine (2 nights per week). Just got back from the limestone coast in SA. Bought a mixed dozen while staying in the Mt Benson area. Cheers Dave, Doug & all.
