Tow Ed

Dave and I did our Tow Ed Course today .

What a stinking hot day it was. I was ****ing bricks. Coz I have never towed before.

Great and very patient instructor. I found the hardest part was reversing in a straight line.

only killed a few pedestrians. My theory was, what were they doing walking behind a van that was reversing anyway lol.

All in all it was a great if not stressful day.

We both learned alot.

Hi Kaid, we are planning to do this course in January other than reducing the number of pedestrians did you find that it has improved your practical skills particularly the reversing bit ?

A few pedestrians out the way, it's all easy going now, can't hit 'em anymore.

Keep Safe on the roads and out there. ( if you are a pedestrian behind Kaid, that is biggrin )

Yep Belmont Bear . Seeing as I had no skills to begin with. Anything was only an improvement

biggrinbiggrinbiggrin. Reversing in a straight line I found the hardest.

Had to turn Your Parker on then look for the last light on the van.

Right side was great. Left side was a lot harder. I found that in the end I was going cross eyed.

Funnily enough the Instructor said that I was a Natural at reversing into the site.

Dave said great, that is your job from now on. Lol.

All in all a great Course to do

I have towed for many years. From box trailers to boat trailers to horse floats. When we got our first van which was nearly 3 ton, and some 22 ft. after a couple of small trips, I heard of Tow Ed. Was very pleased I did the course. While I may not have picked up too many tips, I was thankful for those that I did pick up as well as for the workbook and DVD. Can (and have) referred to them when I feel I need too. Even our horse towing daughter did the course. Cannot recommend it highly enough.

Thanks Kath (& Peter), sounds like the course is well worth the money so we will look forward to doing it - I hope that Maitland Showground has insurance.
