It's surprising how many retirees risk traveling in very windy weather. Why do they do it? It's not as though they have to be somewhere urgently (life & death), they're retired! We stay put until the wind subsides, less stress.

We are in Sheffield Tasmania and the wind is blowing a gale from the west. Dressed in winter gear. We will gladly trade some of the heat from NSW and Qld, for some of this rather cold weather here.
Windy as at Devonport, spent yesterday cutting a big tree of the fence and repairing the fence, glad it was done when another big gust came through and tore the hothouses to pieces . Now looking for polycarbonate sheeting instead of just the reinforced plastics!
But I'll take cool and windy any day over hot, humid or fire risks!
