I am not sure if this is fair dinkum or pie in the sky

Perhaps some of the more electric technical members, have been watching this development more closely than I have, and will come along and give their input

My interpretation of the article below is that a battery manufacturer has said that he can half the price of (very large), bank of storage batteries

I read many years ago that the battery technology breakthrough, for high capacity storage battery, will not come until
The high storage batteries get cheaper
Cheaper high storage battery, will see more people buying
More people buying, will give other manufactures the incentive to make even better batteries, to obtain market share

Hopefully this may filter down to a high capacity battery, being small and cheap enough for a RV

Half the price to get the foot in the door and to hell with the general public. Only for multi million dollar projects is my opinion.

once the technology as been developed and paid for, production costs will eventually fall as there is an increased up-take - look at televisions for instance so hopefully it will be the same for battery storage
