I bought a small package of bees wax . My guess is 400 grams . I heated the wax slowly on one of our fav pots . Added a table spoon of Vaseline and 200 mil of linseed oil , mixed then off the heat I added 150 or so mil of turpentine . it cooled down to a soft wax.. So far I have put it on the graphit bench in kitchen, on tiles in kitchen, all our wooden furniture. Mixed up another brew with a little more wax . It's set a little harder . But I could use both ? I have applied wax to both my cars . Plus the roof oon motorhome . The rain we've had in Sydney the last few weeks it's keeping things clean and dry . Amassed how many things this can be added to, next mix with be 5 litres linseed oil 4 to 500 grams of bees wax and 4 litres of turps for pool decking , Maybe some Kerosine to thin it down more ? Previously I've just used linseed and turps . The bees wax will longer lasting more durable finish at half the cost of decking oil .. food or anything dropped on kitchen floor cleans up easy.. it's NOT slippery either !! The best part is the wax on my cars . Being a near new Falcon GT she's well cared for .
Ordinary turps . Have found using a little kero it seems to hold the wax better, easier to spread as polish .. I would use boiled water with another container to heat the wax .. Prefere no open flame ...youtu.be/4BAHx0KBpT4.
