I have met some very nice Backpackers in my travel's but while staying at Girgarre town park Nth VIC, a whizzbang with two backpackers stayed 4 nights and each morning left rubbish on ground. OH! The whizz and the bang got a good work out too and yes, they parked on top of me.
They seem to not care but thankfully not all of them are like that.

Home Hill in North Queensland the back packers also became a problem ,The Home Hill comfort stop even had power points in the undercover section for charging phone and using laptops all gone now .
Whilst it is a problem all over.......if b/p is picking grapes for a day or two perhap grower can let them park on the farm, behind the shed where at least perhaps toilet facilities are available..........just a thought.
Since the b/p expect us nomads to clean up after them we had better find a solution to the problem :)

I was talking to two very friendly back packers about two weeks ago.
We discussed what happens when they are working on the fruit and vegie farms picking.
I was shocked to find out if they needed to go to toilet during the day the owner told them, just go over there in the edge of the row, just not too near to the plants.
Or they try to hold on till the end of the day.
I think it's time the employers were held responsible for their workers.
There should be a area set aside for them to park up while they are working on that block. Also a portable shower/toilet made available for them.
You can't blame the back packers for something the employers allow/ make them do.
They arrive here in this country in lots of cases not understanding english and go by what they are told and understand.
