Oredering a Pizza

Hello!  Is this Gordon's Pizza?
No sir, it's Google's Pizza.
Did I dial the wrong number?
No sir, Google bought the pizza store.
Oh, alright - then Id like to place an order please.
Okay sir, do you want the usual?
The usual?  You know what my usual is?
According to the caller ID, the last 15 times youve ordered a 12-slice with double-cheese, sausage, and thick crust.
Okay - thats what I want this time too.
May I suggest that this time you order an 8-slice with ricotta, arugula, and tomato instead?
No, I hate vegetables.
But your cholesterol is not good.
How do you know?
Through the subscribers guide.  We have the results of your blood tests for the last 7 years.
Maybe so, but I dont want the pizza you suggest I already take medicine for high cholesterol.
But you havent taken the  medicine regularly, 4 months ago you purchased from Drugsale Networka box of only 30 tablets.
I bought more from another drugstore.
It's not showing on your credit card sir.
I paid in cash.
But according to your bank statement you did not withdraw that much cash.
I have another source of cash.
This is not showing on your last tax form, unless you got it from an undeclared income source.
WHAT THE HELL?  ENOUGH! I'm sick of Google, Facebook, Twitter, and WhatsApp. I'm going to an island without internet, where theres no cellphone line, and no one to spy on me ..

I understand sir, but youll need to renew your passport ... it expired 5 weeks ago.

When Gmail first came out there were warnings relating to the information that Google may keep on an individual.

Amazing how things have turned out.

Love the posts

That youtube clip is scary. I recently tracked down an owner of an unregistered / sterile pup that had been left at the local pub hoping someone would take it home. Looked up lost dogs on Facebook. The owner had left a message on Facebook saying they'd lost the dog but left no information how to contact. 10 minutes later I'd tracked a relative down who told me the full story. After friends of friends on Facebook noticed her in a wedding photo of people I know. Cute puppy that was about to cost a fortune in vet & council fees. Once any info is in digital format and leaves you PC, iPad or iPhone then the world has access.

Do not put any more personal information on the internet than you would be happy seeing on the front page of the newspaper.

Actually it's worse than that because newspapers are thrown away but what you put on the net stays there for ever and it can be matched with many other things you put on the net over time - years, decades even. It will NEVER, EVER go away. And you do not know what tomorrow holds and one day you may bitterly regret making so much personal information public.

Edit:

Likewise with businesses; just because a company asks for your name or address doesn't mean you have to tell them and if it all becomes too difficult give them a false name, phone number or whatever. Actually I take a perverse pleasure in filling their databases with rubbish :)
