We stayed at Huntly, Victoria - greata spot on the Midland Highway, not far out of Bendigo, anyway, in the forest away from the camp was an old tent, which housed an even older man, with a limp of sorts. It was freezing at the time, but he didn't seem to want to talk to anyone. Very sad to hear of the poor man in the tent - a timely warning.
